The Sinner's Prayer
A way to put the response into words. The prayer does not save you. It helps you understand what you are doing.
October 10, 2026
The sinner's does not save you. No sentence earns the gift. Christ already paid. The prayer only helps you say what you are doing.
You are agreeing with God about your sin, trusting what Christ did, and turning to Him. That turning is , and it is part of the response. It is more than agreeing that you have sinned. You turn away from your sin and toward God.
One way to say it:
God, I have sinned. I cannot pay what I owe. I believe Jesus Christ died for my sins, was buried, and rose again. I turn from my sin and put my in Him. Save me, not because of this prayer, but because of what Christ has done.
The words can change. You are not buying anything. You are receiving what has already been paid.
