Simon the Zealot

In every list. Nowhere else as a story. Later pairings with Jude are not the Bible.

Simon the Zealot in Luke and Acts. Simon the Cananaean in Matthew and Mark. Same word underneath: zealot, not Canaanite. He is in the twelve. That is the fact.

The Gospels do not tell a scene that is his. Acts does not take him on a road. No letter is his. His death is not told.

He is sometimes confused with Simon the brother of the Lord (). Same caution as with James. A brother in the family list is not automatically a man in the twelve. And he is not Simon Peter.

Later western legend pairs him with Jude and sends them east, often to Persia, and kills them together. It is late, and it is not one story. does not pick a city for him.

This is a deeper teaching under The Apostles. Its home is Sermons and Series.
