Coming to the Father

Prayer is coming to the Father, through the Son, by the Spirit - asking, confessing, thanking, and waiting.

September 1, 2026

is not a performance for God and not a technique for getting things. It is a child speaking to a Father who already knows (), and who still says ask ().

How Jesus taught us to begin

Our Father comes first. Then His name, His kingdom, His will, and only then our bread, our debts, our danger. Prayer that starts with the self will feel empty, because it is.

Without ceasing

does not mean never leaving a closet. It means never dropping the line. Work can be prayer. Silence can be prayer. Tears can be prayer. What cannot be prayer is the heart that will not come.

When words fail

You are not heard because your sentences are good. You are heard because of the Son. If you do not know what to say, the Spirit helps that weakness. Take His words, or take a psalm, or take you already know: the good news, the God you are speaking to.

This is a surface page. Later teachings can go further into intercession, fasting, and unanswered prayer. For now, the invitation is small and heavy: come.

This is a deeper teaching under Coming to the Father. Its home is The Gospel.
